Willis Godenaur injured his left hand from a blank cartridge discharge at camp. Addison Wilson wrenched his left foot on an elevator shaft at the chocolate factory. A three year old Imhoff child suffered scalds from a bucket of hot water. While driving toward Columbia last Thursday C Fred Regennas suffered a sudden paralysis in his hands arms neck and face. He continued to Columbia where a physician advised rest with a relative. He returned home the next day and by then had recovered enough to be up and about. Friends hope for a full recovery.

Jacob B Risser died at his home near Brannville July 29 at 3 45 AM. He was 43 years 7 months 2 days old after a year and a half of tuberculosis. A farmer and Hammer Creek Mennonite church member he left wife Susan Hershey and seven children. Survived by mother Barbara and seven siblings. Funeral at Hammer Creek meeting house with overflow at the nearby school house, conducted by multiple pastors.

Elderly Ephrata Farmer John Reinhold Dies at 88
John Reinhold, a retired farmer who ran a long-time farm near Reamstown, died of heart failure in the early hours Tuesday at age eighty eight. He lived with his daughter Mrs. Hiram B. Miller in Ephrata after years with his son Albert on the old homestead. His wife died about a year ago. Survived by two sons and two daughters, John and Albert near Reamstown, Susan wife of Hiram B. Miller in Ephrata, and Emma wife of Jacob Brubaker in Denver.

Fine Cattle Shipments and Local Feeders in Lancaster
Five cattle seen in Lititz were shipped to New York by Walter Dunlap of Lancaster. Twenty head averaged 1441 pounds and sold for 6.85 per hundred. Joseph Hess of near Rothsville bought them Jan 15 when they weighed about 1200 pounds. A bull weighing 1600 pounds was shipped to Lancaster. Amos Rudy between Akron and Brownstown bought 22 steers last December at 1200 pounds, later sold to John T. Todd, who sold to Thomas B. Donnelly of Philadelphia. cattle averaged 1600 pounds and brought 7.45 per hundred. Rudy is noted as a leading Lancaster County feeder. Gypsies have tents in Miller’s woods southwest of town making baskets for sale, with three horses in the outfit and potential exchanges suggested with locals.

A Lebanon and Lancaster County Bee Keepers Association gathering met at Robert Russel's Lexington home on the 27th alt. Attended by 25 beekeepers, it opened at 1:30 pm with Howard Beard presiding and B. L. Hoover as secretary. Prof. H. A. Surface spoke as state zoologist, with A. Town Council in Monthly Session Delivers Few July Decisions
July borough meeting with Chief Burgess Steiner and councilmen present focused on street repairs in Pine alley and Kline street near the Eby factory. The panel ordered a concrete crossing on Roebuck alley and urged use of a roller on Kline. The Lititz and Rothsville Railway right to lay Main street tracks advanced to second reading. Vouchers were approved for various labor, hauling, lighting, utilities, police, and cement contracts, including Lititz Electric Light and Independent Telephone.

A Nice Bunch of Fish from Susquehanna River
Veteran Lititz fishermen fished the Susquehanna below McCall's Ferry dam on Friday and caught 35 bass of good size. The following day others including Foltz Kreider and Hagen caught 8 bass and one 26 inch 3 pound salmon. Additional anglers along McCall's Ferry on Saturday netted 7 bass and 70 catfish.
