Aeroplane to Land at Gregon Robert Behmer
An unarrived aeroplane waits in Lancaster County prepared for testing before its flight from New Jersey to Lancaster. B. H. Tyre of Philadelphia will pilot the five passenger craft, built by Gregon Robert Behmer. If successful, a smaller plane may follow. The craft rests at the Lancaster Gunning Club grounds along the Oregon turnpike after weeks of assembly and trial testing.

Veteran Lititz Civil War hero marks 76th birthday
John G. Carpenter, a Lititz veteran of the 79th Regiment under Colonel Hambright, celebrated his 76th birthday. He among the oldest in the local G A R and Sons of Veterans groups, survived Libby Prison, aided Sherman on the march to the sea, and remains active in St. Luke's Reform Church. He shared memories of prison life, foraging, and battles including Bentonville.

At meetings on April 19 and 24 the Lititz Industrial Athletic League was formed with four clubs: Oneida Community, Lititz Paper Box and Printing Co, Hackman and Hornley, and Ideyl Cocoa and Chocolate Co. League games run Tuesday and Thursday at 6 o'clock. Saturday games feature visiting teams at Lititz. Opening doubleheader planned for May 5, 1923. Officers elected include Hackman as president and Cleary as secretary treasurer.

Firemen's Parade and Festival Shaping Up
Plans for the big firemen's parade on Saturday May 26 and the accompanying street festival are taking shape. Broad street from the fountain to Miller and Habecker's will be roped off with extensive illumination using hundreds of electric lights. The event features fourteen novelty booths many new to the area and popular stands such as a large basket stand silverware stand and a fruit basket stand plus two rubber novelty stands. Refreshments will be available and concerts by the Lititz Concert Band and the Manheim Band will headline. The organizers expect it to be the biggest affair of its kind yet in the town. Pfautz Bros advertise four pounds of Nifty Pretzels on sale.

Heath Leaves Lancaster for Parts Unknown with Suitcase Tale
T. C. Heath of Lancaster, former American Express agent at Lititz, disappeared on Monday saying he was taking clothing to a tailor. His car vanished and a note was due. Reports hint at another woman. Frank Burkholder of Lititz holds the note and notified state police as efforts to locate Heath and his car continue. Heath is about 32 and came from Norristown, with American Express Company said to be involved in the search.

Whisky stock moved to federal warehouses
Bonded whisky worth thirty five thousand dollars at the Habecker distillery in Elm near here will be removed by government agents to federal warehouses in Philadelphia. The liquor will travel in trucks guarded by state police to prevent a hold-up during transport. New manager at Zion Home is W. E.
