Works for Warren William Schverling visits Bristol area
William Schverling, formerly of this place, visits on Tuesday. He holds a position with Istriman, multimillionaire owner of the ship plant where a terrible accident occurred this week. He is Hartiman’s aide and also carries the mail between Bristol and Uarri man. He says he has a choice of three cars belonging to the missionaire and other plant officials when taking out a party. The chief of guards at the ship yards was a former Lititz Bus company owner. Through the Lititz Record William notes the Bristol postmaster King has taken a fancy to the town. On his return he will face questions about this part of the country more than a candidate taking a post office civil service test.

Sides of the liquor question split by state groups
The piece notes state Brewers Association input from Philadelphia, with Lancaster brewers to keep 2 percent alcohol beer. Brewers expect a 2 percent limit if law defines lower alcohol as intoxicating. Liquor dealers are hopeful about the industry’s future, while Amanda Landes argues wets misread the situation.
