Lititz Recreation Group enters the City WPA Recreation Basketball Tournament with a team drawn from players in the four Tuesday evening sessions at the local high school. They face Millersville in the first game as part of eliminations to crown county WPA champions.
The Lancaster County Firemen Association held its monthly meeting at Maytown High School with about 220 firemen from 21 companies despite poor weather. Fire Marshall Paul Z Knier reported eight fires in the past month. fourteen fire companies answered calls and saved property valued at 24560, keeping losses to 5115. A correction states Albert Hornberger is a Republican not connected to the Democratic Club. Albert Christner arranged the banquet.
