At 11:15 p m Wednesday two autos collided on New Hope road a mile northeast of the New Hope coal mine. William H Bradley 22 of Dugger and Arthur Graves 65 of Hymera were involved. Arthur E. Parker began a life sentence for the dismemberment murder of his former landlady Mrs. Lillian Johnson, after his plea for a new trial was denied. The ruling followed a three week trial with disputed evidence regarding an alleged skull fracture. Parker led police to several graves and parts of a human skeleton were found in Vigo County.
