High School Baseball Plans Rained Out Lights Practice Rescheduled

Weather halted early week baseball drills at the new High School park yesterday. LHS coaches Roy Williams and Max Woolsey urged players to attend a 7 30 p m session tonight as the squad prepares for upcoming games under the lights. About 10 to 12 teens were participating with hopes of earning a spot on the team. The summer night league will not form this season, but LHS plans several under the lights contests against area high schools. The Ellis and Company squad also faced rain and postponed a 6 p m workout, with batting practice set for Thursday at 6 p m in anticipation of Friday night competition against the Wayne Newton American Legion team of Terre Haute.
