Indiana law prohibits sale or purchase of largemouth and smallmouth bass, Kentucky bass, silver or yellow bass, white or striped bass, rock bass, bluegills, and red-eared sunfish. Sales include serving such fish as meals in restaurants hotels boarding houses or eating houses, with an exception for meals prepared and served to guests who lawfully caught the fish in open season. The rule applies to all fish of these species regardless of where caught.
Ronald Ray and Janet Kay Reed twins of Mr and Mrs Cecil Reed of 330 Fourth Street NE died shortly after birth Wednesday evening at Freeman Greene County Hospital. Bodies sent to M J Aikin and Son Funeral Home and later buried at Fairview Cemetery. Survived by parents and four grandparents.

Franklin Pierce McCall, 21, was sentenced to die in the electric chair for kidnapping Jimmy Cash to obtain “better things of life.” Circuit Judge H. F. Atkinson called the death penalty inevitable after McCall pled guilty, with execution date to be set by Governor Fred P. Cone during the week of June 26.

Orval Miller of Linton a Little Daisy coal mine pumper had a piece of steel removed from his arm at Freeman Greene county hospital after a work incident this morning. Doctors report he is expected to suffer no ill effects.
Corwin Cain 26 of Bloomfield died at Freeman Hospital from a skull fracture after his Plymouth coupe overturned four to seven times on state road 54 near the College Hills area. He was returning from Shakamak State Park to Bloomfield when killed. Funeral services set for Saturday at the family home with burial in Grandview Cemetery.
