Indiana to enforce mandatory vehicle inspections this August

Unusual Parhelion Spotted Over Greene County
A rare sun dog parhelion appeared today over Greene County drawing many calls to the Daily Citizen. The U S Weather Bureau in Indianapolis explained ice crystals in cirrus clouds cause multicolored rings around the sun and noted the sight was unusual for many elderly residents. The Indianapolis bureau representative said the phenomenon was not seen there.

Bloomfield Car Collision Near Pool Draws No Injuries
A two-vehicle crash near the Bloomfield Swimming Pool road caused about 250 dollars in damage. Warren Rowe, 64, of Bloomfield drove a 1968 auto south and attempted to pass pedestrians. Charles Cox, 21, of Bloomfield drove a 1963 auto north and swerved to avoid the other car. State Trooper Gene Gastrineau investigated. no tickets issued and no injuries reported.

Blasts believed caused by dynamite damaged a clothing store and a drugstore in the Westlane shopping center near Indianapolis late Sunday night. No injuries were reported and total damage was about 13000 dollars. Authorities said the two blasts shook the northwest area less than a minute apart.

Brazil Factory Fire Damages Old Plant in AmVit Clay Tile Complex
