In loving memory of Spencer Holingsworth who passed away June 8 1945 Softly the stars are shining on dear Father's grave Jeeping because with all our love we could not save it is dear face that we loved 80 well We miss more than words can tell Peacefully sleeping resting at last The world's weary troubles and trials are passed by silence Her suffered in patience he bore Until called home to suffer no more Wife and Children.

Inland Steel scandal blurs its bright steel image
The Inland Steel Co faces embarrassment after its ingots and sheets entered the black market at high prices. David Wilkoff, a Pittsburgh broker, testifies he sold ingots to Inland for 28.50 a ton then bought sheets back for 60 a ton, with brokers profiting as high as 40 000 on a 2000 ton lot. Inland vows to stop mashing ingots for brokers and will cut off any manufacturer selling its steel.
