Switz City Woman Taken by Death
Mrs. Mary Nugent Parsons 61 died about 10:00 Saturday night at her Switz City home after a heart attack. Born January 30 1889 in Owen county she was a daughter of Thomas and Sarah Nugent and a Dutch Bethel Church member. Survived by her husband and several cousins Everhart of Sullivan route three. Body to McClanahan Funeral home Jasormville. Funeral at Panera home Tuesday 2:00 pm with Rev. Ben Nickless officiating burial at Dutch Bethel cemetery.

Two marriage licenses were issued by the Greene circuit court clerk at Bloomfield. Vernon Jackson of Owensburg and Elizabeth Duncan of Avoca received licenses, and Roy Hochstetler of Crane and Vera Jean Stirling of Odon completed theirs.

Fire destroys vehicle of Joe Hase in Linton
An auto owned by Joe Hase of 59 Fifth Street Northeast was nearly destroyed by a blaze reported at 21 10 Friday night. The Linton Fire Department arrived after the fire was discovered, by which time most of the car was consumed by flames.
