38 Persons Die In 15th Army Area Ammunition Work
The army reported 38 people killed and seven injured in the 15th Army area from May 1 to July 10 while collecting and destroying enemy ammunition and installations. Seven dead and two injured were Americans. The rest were German civilians or POW workers on the projects. About 57,000 tons of ammunition were collected and over 5,000 tons destroyed.
