Cleveland officials consider a city ordinance requiring bicycle riders and motorists to hold drivers licenses. Riders under 21 would pay 25 cents annually for registration tags plus 25 cents for a traffic instruction book.
John Jones of West Linton was returned to his home today. Mrs Waneta Lechien and her baby were also taken home on Thursday. Mrs Floyd Booker and her baby were likewise transported to their home Thursday.
In Decatur Indiana on January 6 a baby’s cries woke the family as the Decatur Country Club clubhouse burned. Father Paul Schulte and relatives escaped with blankets over their heads, saving five people while the two story brick building was gutted and the dance floor frame remained.
A joint installation of officers will be held at 7 o clock Monday evening by the United Spanish American War Veterans post and Auxiliary at their home on 76 Fifth Street Southeast. After a short business session, both organizations will conduct the installation, followed by an oyster supper and social hour. Members are urged to attend.
Mrs. Evelyn Virginia DeCourcy 26 died at 12 55 AM in Freeman Greene County Hospital after two weeks illness. Born July 19 1912 in Koleen she lived in Linton five years with husband Harry and daughter Charlene Su nine months. Funeral Monday at 2 PM at local Methodist church. Burial in Fairview cemetery.
Ginger, famed World War I horse, died aged 34 in London after his owner had him destroyed. He served with the Expeditionary Force in France and took part in the retreat from Mons and the first Battle of Ypres where he was severely wounded.
