Warren T. McCray former Indiana Republican governor died at his Orchard Lake stock farm near Kentland Indiana. He had served a federal prison sentence for mail fraud in 1924 and began retirement after plans to sell his farm. Surviving are his widow sister of Hoosier author George Ade a son and two daughters. Funeral arrangements had not been announced.
Wayne Reed a 34 year old Bloomfield rural route 3 man was injured when a large tree stump rolled on him while he and Joseph Ashcraft cleared a stump on Walter Rk Ashcraft farm near Bloomfield. Reed sustained severe cuts and bruises but no broken bones per X ray at Freeman-Greene CountyHospital in Lin ton this morning.
Funeral services for Lettie Willoughby 55 die at home near Midland will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the residence with burial in Hickory Grove cemetery She is survived by husband Frank eight sons Frank Albert Henry all of Detroit Mich Harold of South Bend Leonard of Anderson Charles of Jasonville Wendell and Robert at home and daughter Mrs Grace Thornton of Detroit

Maude Royce, a local resident, pleaded frailty to public intoxication and was fined four dollars plus costs totaling 15.80 in Linton City police court after being arrested last night by the local police department.

Mrs May Gregory aged 77, mother of Mrs Lloyd Shannon of this city, was found dead Monday evening at her Washington home. A lifelong resident, she visited Linton several times and is survived by two sons and three daughters. Funeral rites likely Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Washington.
Closing hours for Linton stores this week are Monday to Thursday at 6 p m Friday and Saturday extended to 8 50 p m.
Federal officials reveal Al Capone is a broken, sometimes dangerously insane man unable to be released for at least a year. Capone remains in Alcatraz with a ten year sentence, an extra year for contempt, and a $50 000 fine. A Milwaukee to Chicago bus collided with a car at Morton Grove Illinois today killing the car driver and injuring eight bus passengers. The bus overturned four times and struck a gasoline station, damaging pumps and signs. Leo Kroll 21 of Libertyville a Pure Oil salesman was dead on arrival at St Francis Hospital Evanston.
