Dixon Injured In Mine Mishap At Little Betty Tipple
Tobe Dixon of South Linton suffered serious injuries in a fall at the Little Betty mine while tearing down a tipple. He was twelve feet above ground on a timber when a dropped timber caused him to fall landing on his face and shoulders. He was unconscious for minutes and taken to Freeman Greene county hospital where condition and injuries were being assessed.

Wills Injured In City Collision
Walter Wills sustained minor cuts and bruises after his car collided with a coal truck at the intersection of A and First streets northeast. Police report say Wills, driving south on First Street, and Wade Resler of Bloomfield, driving east on A Street, the truck struck broadside. Wills recovered at home and condition not serious.

Report of death received here states Virgil G Canady son of Mr and Mrs Verner Canady died Saturday in a Ft Douglas Utah hospital. He formerly worked as a cook at a CDC camp near Cedar City Utah and had been ill for some time. Body to be returned to his parents area. Funeral details not learned.

Benefit double header aids Linton charity drives
