Shrewlike Animal Brought in by Local Resident
The Citizen office received a small mammal, likely a shrew, from Ray K. Inman of 1009 A street SE. Natural science editor and agricultural agent Arthur Haseman examined it, noting its two and a half inch body, small eyes, long snout, and a medium tail. They compared it to Webster's reference and described American shrews as mainly nocturnal, feeding on worms and insects.

Margaret Ann Richards age 75 of the White Rose community died at 12:15 PM Monday at her son Hallie Richards home on Lin ton route two after months of ill health. She was born January 17, 1881 in Daviess County and lived most of her life in Linton. Survived by three sons Hallie Guy and Otha. two daughters Hazel Stewart and Chloe Smedley. 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Newkirk Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Successful Surgery On Twins Reported
Bethesda Maryland National Institutes of Health yesterday announced the successful surgical separation of Siamese twin girls born joined at the forehead. It was the fifth such operation in medical history and the first in which both twins survived, performed last Tuesday at the institute in its clinical center.
