French engineers blast antennas of big Russ radio Berlin
French engineers destroyed two tall Radio Berlin antennas in the western sector to silence the Russian voice for two hours. Maj. Gen. In St Meinrdd Indiana a Christmas Coal Mine cavein trapped four men. State police said recovery chances were very slim. Eight of twelve workers escaped. Limb Found Buried at Stripper Mine North of Linton
A cottonwood limb, possibly thousands of years old, was uncovered today at Comet Collieries strip mine a mile and a half north of Linton. It measures eight inches in diameter and lies 29 feet below the surface, about five feet above the coal seam. The limb is rotten with water-filled fibers. it may have been buried in a cavern after a wash-out.
