Cléo Yoder a 19 year old Wellman farm boy showcases his Pat's Blue Ribbon steer at the International Livestock exhibit in Chicago where the black Angus bleer was named grand champion. Yoder becomes the youngest livestock raiser to win the award and plans to use the sale proceeds for education.
The clipper completes its first transpacific voyage to Alameda. The flight carries 908 pounds of mail, 200 pounds more than the return trip, with the aircraft completing an air hop to ives at Alameda.
