Townsend Aides Indicted By Jury In DC Contempt Case
Washington December 33 U P The District of Columbia grand jury indicted Dr Francis E Townsend and two officials in Old Age Revolving Pensions Ltd for contempt of the U S House of Representatives. The charges stem from their refusal to testify before a House investigating committee. Indicted are Townsend Dr Clinton Wunder and John B Kiefer, directors in New York and Chicago regions who declined to answer committee subpoenas following Townsend’s directive to ignore the inquiry.

Miss Blanche Bennett’s West Mechanic Street house escaped serious loss when Bloomfield firemen halted a Friday morning blaze believed sparked by a roof flue. The roof sustained heavy damage with insurances covering the loss.
