From Madisonville Tennessee dated October 5 1875 Eprick Bulerin shares seasonal farming notes noting abundant corn and wheat, fodder pulling and topping corn, mild fall weather, hog prices at seven cents a pound, and Missouri voters backing a new State Constitution as a path to prosperity. he sees hope in bountiful crops and warns nothing of major local information beyond agriculture and finance debates.
State Auditor Tuomas Hontapay issues October 1875 sale guidance to County Collectors clarifying that the 1875 revenue act repealed certain sections, restricts sales to 1874 current tax delinquents, defines delinquent vs forfeited lands, requires complete forfeited lists, details penalties, and notes the stay law becomes inoperative in October 1875.
