Marvin Phillips, 79, of McGuffey died Monday at Ottawa Valley Hospital after a two month stay. Born August 5, 1886 in Illinois, he was the son of Burt and Cynthia Phillips. Bluffton College has been recommended by the Ohio Board of Regents for about $122,000 from federal funds to build and equip a new four story addition to Musselman Library. Copter Downed Over North Vietnam During Rescue Mission

A U S helicopter with four crewmen and the rescue pilot went missing after being shot down in North Viet Nam while attempting to recover a downed airman. The aircraft was hit during a bombing mission near a bridge south of Vinh, 100 miles north of the border, as anti aircraft fire also damaged another helicopter. A second F105 was lost when it crashed into a ridge southeast of Dien Bien Phu.
