Antoinette Daley and Dennis Maier Wedding at St. Gerard's

Antoinette Mary Daley married Dennis Wayne Maier in a Saturday ceremony at St. Gerard's Catholic Church. The couple, both 1950s Lima-area residents, will reside at 1701 Robb Ave. after a reception at the Hampshire House. The bride, a Lima Central Catholic graduate, wore silk organza with French lace and seed pearl details. The groom, son of Wayne Maier, is a Lima Senior High School graduate employed at Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton.

Four Bit Halloween Party By Beta Sigma Phi Sorority

Members of Kappa Lambda Chapter hosted a Four Bit Halloween party in the First National Bank basement. Hostesses were Mrs. Dennis Vandemark and Miss Becky Groff. Members bought costumes for four bits at a previous meeting. The program was by Mrs. Thomas Cox and Mrs. Joseph Nichols. A Mardi Gras Ball is planned for Oct. 30 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the K of C Hall. Tickets cost $8 with music by Exiles.

Rimer Couple To Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Wood of Route 3 Columbus Grove plan a 60th wedding anniversary dinner at Ottawa River United Church of Christ. They wed November 1, 1905, in the bride’s home. They have five children, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Mr. Wood served as deacon for 50 years and superintendent for 20. They reside on the former syfert farm. Fifty family members expected. Mr. Wood turns 62 in December and Mrs. Wood is 78.

Shawnee Wesleyan Guild meets with MYF NY trip slides

Twenty one members gathered at Mrs Ray Lowell's home for a Wesleyan Service Guild session of Shawnee Methodist Church. Jim Stahl presented NY trip slides narrated by Chris Moenig with UN and World’s Fair visits. Rev Kenneth Ramsey screened a trip film strip. Linden Lippincott recalled the Guild’s 1959 founding.
