City crews decorated the public square with greenery and lights as the holiday season begins. Mrs Luisa Miles plans to invest in The Lima Star rather than buy cards or gifts this year.
Aaron Levy, chair of the Downtown Action Committee, told members downtown Lima will remain the action hub. The group, backed by the Lima Area Chamber of Commerce, met at the Argonne hotel to discuss revitalization plans and attracting new business, with a full committee meeting scheduled for next Monday noon.
Lowell School PTA hosts a Wednesday covered dish dinner at 6 pm in the gym with children welcome and parents bringing a dish. Horace Mann Elementary PTA meets Wednesday at 7 30 pm in the school gym with Lloyd Reese, executive assistant to the Lima super intendent, as speaker. Babysitting provided. Kiwanis clubs in Lima and Wapakoneta set an inter club meeting Monday at 6 15 pm at Brown's Restaurant. Clayton Paine chairs the event and Cresencia and Jane Melchor host Cres relevantes. Cridereville High School PTA led by Lorenzo Melchor holds 8 pm open house. Hamler event features Cresencia and Jane Melchor providing entertainment.
