Donald Duane Obenour 24 of Rt. 1 Ada died 1 52 a m Saturday at Columbus University Hospital after six weeks illness. Born June 10 1941 in McGuffey he was son of Harry and Grace Stevenson Obenour. He married Lois Irene Barnum in 1962 who survives along with his parents two sons Robert and Richard Tammy a daughter and brothers Norman E and Daniel both Ada. A federal officer at Wright Patterson Air Base he will be buried in Preston Cemetery after funeral services at Ada Church of Christ Hanson Funeral Home handling arrangements.

He was born January 7 1898 in Auglaize County son of Alfred and Minerva Van Horn. He married Beatrice Zimmerman in 1926 who survives with one son Nolan of Rt 1 three grandchildren two sisters Mrs Elizabeth Dudgeon of Bradenton Florida and Mrs Nellie Cummins of Rt 1 and one brother Terrence of Rt 1. He belonged to Waynesfield Methodist Church. Funeral at Van Horn Funeral Home Lakeview Wednesday with Rev Fred Whitley officiating and burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery after 7 tonight.

Area Man Faces Shooting Counts Due in Lima Court
Robert Arnett, 48, of Route 1 Harrod, is arraigned in Lima Municipal Court on two counts of shooting with intent to wound. He allegedly shot Ona Arnett, 21, and Donald Kahler, 27, at a South Main Street bar Saturday. Ona was wounded in the back and admitted to Memorial Hospital. Kahler was treated and released. Arnett was taken into custody. he is reportedly the woman’s father-in-law.

Accidental gun discharge injures Lima woman
Bernice Nance of 300% E Ninth St reports she was putting away her husband’s gun when it discharged and shot her index finger. She was treated at St Rita’s Hospital and released. Fire department battled a straw laden semi trailer fire in the 900 block of S Main St. owned by Tom Bauers of Lexington Ky and driven by Robert Cochran with $650 damage. Township Boosters schedule a family night at Bath Elementary Cafeteria at 6 30 p.m. Wednesday. Clothing including sweaters were stolen from the Squire Shop in Northland, owner Milo Turner told deputies.
