Washington AP report says former Senate Democrat aide Bobby Baker faces a 9 count indictment for fraud tax evasion grand larceny conspiracy and illegal transport of stolen money. Charges cover underreported 1961 62 income evasion 23091 and disguising income as legal fees with Wayne Bromley and a $33000 S and L loan. Arraignment set for Jan 2.

King Says No To Governor Bid

Viet Cong attacks hit Saigon injuring several including Americans
In Saigon Viet Cong terrorists exploded a Claymore mine at the military airport gate and a 60 pound plastic bomb at a police substation. Four US servicemen were slightly wounded, one Vietnamese civilian was killed and three injured. A police officer and a woman and child were also hurt. The attacks followed Allied reports of Viet Cong installations being knocked out in three areas over 48 hours.
