Naming Lima Campus Building after Galvin Stirs Policy Exception
Ohio State University trustees in Columbus announced the Lima Branch Campus will name the first building John Galvin Hall. President Fawcett said the living-person naming exception honors Galvin’s leadership and financial support through the Galvin family’s Ohio Steel Foundry foundation. Trustees also approved West Ohio Gas Co to lay campus utility lines along the north property edge and toward Mumaugh Road. Gas prices, per mile, show a decline from 1933 to 1963 despite heavier cars, dropping from 1.78 to 1.66 cents including taxes.
