Cira 73 of 533 N McDonel died at 11 45 p m Thursday at St Rita s Hospital after an extended illness He was a retired Nickles Bakery employee Born June 22 1892 in Palermo Italy he came to the U S as a youth His survivors include widow Emma two daughters Anita Cira and Mary Louise Bishop three sons Joseph Frank G and William J one sister Rose Cira two brothers James and Louis 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild He was a member of St Rose Catholic Church Arrangements are incomplete at Hogenkamp Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p m Saturday Word has also been received of the death of Coburn James Stoneburner 64 in Marion following a heart attack Born June 23 1901 in Forest he was a son of James and Lena Derringer Stoneburner He formerly worked at Ohio Steel Foundry Survivors include widow Edith two sisters Jeanette Roberts and Clinton Brady three brothers Clinton A Hermon G and Edgar Funeral arrangements were to be made at Hughes Funeral Home Marion

Levi Althaus dies after brief illness in Bluffton

Levi Althaus of Route 2 Bluffton died at 12 40 p m Thursday in Lima Memorial Hospital after a five day illness. He was a Farmers Grain Elevator director born January 14 1898 in Allen County to John and Verena Althaus. He married Florence Riggenbach in 1923 she died in 1962. Surviving are a daughter Anita Huber of Rt 2 Columbus Grove two sons Ralph of St Louis Mo and John H of Wadsworth and nine grandchildren. He was a Bluffton Men's Garden Club member and Grace Memorial Church. Services Sunday at 2 30 p m in the church burial Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends may call at Diller Funeral Home.

Eight Die In Blaze At Astor Hotel Green Bay

A morning fire at the three story Astor Hotel in downtown Green Bay killed eight occupants. Thirty others escaped, some trapped for hours in rooms. Four rescued guests were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Fire crews extinguished the blaze around 7 a.m.

Schio Marks Earnings Peak

CLEVELAND Standard Oil Co. of Ohio posted a 1965 record earnings total of 49.7 million dollars or 4.51 dollars per share, up 13.6 percent from 1964. Sohio president Charles E. Spahr said the firm achieved new records in profits, sales and operating revenues for a third straight year. Earnings are up 105 percent from 1962.
