The Lima Star plans its mid September baptism as a new daily newspaper serving Lima and Allen County. Editors promise no special interests, mixed staff from veterans to newcomers, and local reporting. Stockholders numbered in hundreds, with advertisers and readers urged to join the bandwagon and support honest journalism.
The Lima Star editorial pledges a mid-September start for its community newspaper. It promises balanced editorials, open to all political thought but free of partidanship, and invites local input while emphasizing economical aims and broad local coverage.
