Council Meeting Adopts Gas Meter and Fire Vessel Plans

The May 1875 Lima council session approved gas rates for April and city hall services, authorized applying the automatic insulator to the city hall meter, and discussed street improvements. A report on gas meters was referred to the Gas Committee, and two months more were granted to finish the Union Street contract. Sugar Creek items describe weather and farming notes, pest warnings, and local commerce concerns.
