Evolving Ohio county boundaries and estate notices in 1846
A sequence of legal notices and petitions from Allen and surrounding Ohio counties detail proposed county boundary changes to create a new Anglaize jurisdiction, relocation of the seat of justice, and road location petitions. Included are administrator and executor appointments, sheriff sales, and estate settlements with properties in Mercer, Putnam, Shelby, Allen, and Logan counties dated October 1846 through December 1846.
