Memorial Program by Household Science Club
The Household Science Club met at Miss Isabel McMahon's home with Mrs. Kobt Notts and Mrs. W. Davidson assisting. A Mothers Day program led by Mrs. Joye Neubauer and Miss Ruth Simon preceded memorial plans. Memorial Day services feature music readings a short play and an address by Rev. W A Taylor at 8 15 pm with Father E J Scanlan in charge. A pre event lunch runs from 6 pm with five cent items at the opera house on May 30.

Commencement Exercises at Opera House May 18
Commencement was held at the opera house Thursday evening May 18 with the class motto Onward and Upward. R v Tisdall of Quincy gave the address as aligned to the motto. The high school girls chorus and Miss Lenore Linker supplied music. Miss Elsie Mae Schrader played the processional. Rev Howard R Kun kle led the invocation and benediction. Principal Scott presented the diplomas and praised Liberty school’s county standing and athletic success.

Poppy Day Drive To Bring Remembrance To Liberty
Louise Riggins announces the Blentlinger Tourneur unit of the American Legion Auxiliary has formed a poppy corps. On May 27 a nationwide drive by 100000 women will place poppies on ten million coats to aid disabled veterans and needy families through the coming year. Poppies are produced by disabled veterans at Danville National Soldiers Home in Illinois.
