Sales Day Big Success Draws Largest Crowd in Liberty History
A busy Saturday night and afternoon drew the largest crowd in Liberty history for a summer entertainment day. The street music by the Rube Band led by Ladd Grubb, Rev. Rastus Brown and his group, and a long-time orchestra charmed attendees. Business houses reported strong sales while a rear-district dance capped the day with full platform dancing and grateful thanks from organizers.

The Illinois Synod president Rev Roy G Catlin of Chicago will officiate the pastor installation at Zion church at 11 and at St Peter's church at 2 30. Rev H A Kunkle of Holy Trinity Muncie will assist and preach at the 8 o'clock evening service. The parish invites all members and friends to attend. The Church School orchestra has grown to eight or nine pieces and played at 9 o'clock Sunday mornings.

Mrs Susan Krapp Dies In Adams County Residence
Mrs Susan Krapp lifelong Adams County resident died at home south of Payson on Tuesday June 6 after a three month illness following a paralytic stroke. Born November 26 1868 at Burton she spent her life in the county and was a longtime member of the Payson Congregational church. Survivors include two sons Omer at home Alvin of Decatur two sisters Mrs Henry Spangler Liberty and Mrs Carl Wahle Burton and a brother Charles Gilhouse Payson. Funeral services were held Friday June 9 at 2 30 PM in the Payson Congregational church.
