Rooster Day Promises Prizes at Liberty July Event
The Liberty Business Men's Association hosts Rooster Day on July 15 with roosters weighed for due bills redeemable in town. Largest and smallest roosters win 50 cents. a guinea fowl contest at 4:30 yields a one dollar prize for the catcher. Roosters accepted all day until 9 pm at a pen south of Klumereeed house. other poultry priced at market. Evening program features Entertainers from Quincy and a private dance afterward.

Platform Dance At Rear Restaurant Next Saturday

Route 105 to Become Federal Road

Lutheran Women Active in Missionary Society Contest
The Women’s Missionary Society held a one month contest for new members with captains Mrs. Amiel Heine and Miss Emma Vollser. Seventeen new members joined. the losing side will host a future treat for the winners. Legion Fourth Picnic and Dance at Local Park
The American Legion post hosted a July Fourth picnic and dance at the park drawing countywide attendance. Ladies Auxiliary served supper as Roy Buskirk and Johnson orchestras provided music. Rev. Kunkle led an invocation. W A Robinson spoke in place of ill Father Scanlan. Dancing lasted to 1:30 am with thanks extended to all helpers.
