The entertainment committee of the local business mens association invites all residents to assemble at Liberty Park at 9 PM on Christmas Eve. Attendees bring small candles to light from a central flame at the bandstand, sing Holy Night, then proceed to the Christian church and Main Street Garage before disbanding.
Bishop Griffin appoints Father Scanlan of Liberty to the Quincy Deanery committee of the Catholic Rural Life organization. The regional group will cover Adams Brown and Pike counties and aims to improve farming and rural life conditions nationwide.

Lee Syrcle reports to The Bee that a CWA funded project will employ about 60 men and bring $8,000 to the township. Grading the highway northeast of Liberty begins at the John Clary corner and runs to the Henry Corner Kellerville gas tax road. Work starts Monday and will take 40 to 60 days with future projects hoped for.
