Miss Bess Gaffin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otha Gaffin of Kansas City died at home Monday after a brief tuberculosis illness. Born October 3 1888 in Lexington she was 26. Survived by two brothers Frank and Otha Gaffin Jr and three sisters Mrs Jack Leecy Mrs Claud Conley and Mrs William Timms all of Kansas City. Body returned to Lexington Tuesday to Lon Swartz’s home and funeral held that afternoon at 2 30 conducted by Rev T M Cobb.

Mrs. Kate M. Bacon died Saturday morning at 10 30 at her brother Charles S Mitchells home after weeks of heart trouble. She was years old and survived by sister Bettie Kline and brothers Charles S Mitchell of this city and Joseph Mitchell of Oak Grove. Funeral services led by Rev. Carl Burkhardt were held at the grave Sunday evening at 430.
