Death of Joseph B Williams near Lexington
Joseph B Williams a respected county farmer died Tuesday at 2 30 am at his home four miles east of Lexington after a sudden illness of acute indigestion born February 14 1850 in Kentucky aged 64 he was a Methodist and survived by a widow four sons two daughters a brother and two sisters also noting family living in San Francisco and near Higginsville plus a home resident Mary Williams. Saturday night a cutting scrape at the Aull mines left Arch Lyons severely wounded and Mrs Bullard also cut Bullard arrested.

Death of J W Tompkins at 71 in Norborne home
J W Tompkins died Wednesday afternoon at 2 o clock at the home of his step daughter Mrs O B Starke from heart trouble. He was 71 years old on October 1. Funeral at the grave conducted by Rev Carl Burkhardt held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Norborne. Norborne High School girls beat Lexington High School 25 to 3 in the academy drill hall Friday night.
