In a hard fought Saturday clash at the Academy campus Wentworth Military Academy edged Central High School of Kansas City 18 to 0. Emery, Egan, and Emery scored for Wentworth while Fish starred on defense and at kicking. Central’s Minton, Smith, and Gordon showed grit as Washer and Peck guided the teams.

Dr W A Blakely prominent Higginsville physician died at his Higginsville home Wednesday morning at age 34. He moved to Higginsville from Antiville about three years ago and was the son in law of A O Willis of Kansas City. Funeral was held at his home Thursday at 3 pm and interment followed in Forest Hill cemetery Kansas City. He belonged to the Masonic K F and Eagles lodges.
