Fatal Auto Accident Kills Luther Crowe at 17
Friday night near the South mine, Luther Crowe aged 17 was killed riding on a car rear and Jewell Baldwin 18 was badly injured when Edgar Goodloe driving a Ford runabout collided with them. An inquest found internal injuries and recommended charges of criminal carelessness and intoxicated driving against Goodloe. Also reported is the death of Mrs. Mary Eliza Catron at age 80 near Lexington after a long illness. funeral services were held at the Christian church and burial at Machpelah cemetery.

Miss Marjorie Goodwin died Friday morning at 1 45 at her Marshall home after several weeks of typhoid fever. She was about nineteen, daughter of Cliff B Goodwin a Marshall citizen. Her mother Eugenia Davis, previously Tilton Davis, died about twelve years ago.

Lexington High School broke into the win column by defeating Odessa eleven 3 to 1 in a defensive battle. Fritz Amos sparked the offense with a touchdown and a series of runs, but Odessa managed a drop kick for their only points. LHS showed strong defense with key plays by Holleran, Hearle, Maib, and Gibbs, while Odessa threatened repeatedly but could not sustain drives.

Death of Irvin Zeysing at Dover and Lexington
Irvin Zeysing died Friday at 8 oclock at his granddaughter Mrs. E S Holmans home 1706 Franklin street after six months of illness. Born Georgetown Ky May 11 1887 he came to Missouri in 1865 living at Dover until two years ago when he moved to Lexington to live with his granddaughter. He served with Confederate forces in the Civil War. Survived by son George Zeysing of Dover and two brothers Charles Zeysing of Waverly and Jefferson Zeysing of Georgetown Ky. Funeral held Sunday at Dover.
