A large Democratic rally is planned in Lexington and Lafayette County for Friday October 13 with speakers including U S Senator Hoke Smith former Governor A M Dockery Congressman Hamlin and possibly Col Frederick D Gardner. Taubmans donated pasture for a large tent to host thousands and the event is touted as the county’s largest political gathering.

Accident injures Dr John Aull in Kansas City
Wednesday morning in Kansas City Dr John Aull in a Ford coupelet collided with a Ford roadster and flipped over. He was with his aunt Mrs Silver and her daughter Miss Mary Ellen who were trapped under the car. Mrs Silver suffered a broken collar bone and other injuries while Dr Aull and Miss Silver were badly cut and bruised. Mrs Silver and Miss Mary Ellen were taken to German hospital.

Death of Joseph D Ware at Baptist College
Joseph D Ware died Saturday night at 11 due to heart trouble. Born in Grundy county he was 61. Survived by his wife two sons and two daughters. Funeral from Baptist church Monday at 2 with Rev G Garland Riggan officiating.
