Statewide constitutional amendments adopt many measures
Statewide vote results show eight of twelve constitutional amendments approved plus the Bone Dry enforcement act and a convention initiative carried by sizable margins. The good roads plan, road bonds, city indebtedness, and expansion of public utilities funding all carried. several measures including school property repairs and workmen's compensation failed. State Auditor Hackman led the ticket with 154,885 plurality, Becker 151,578, and Treasurer candidate Thompson 147,863. Senator Spencer trailed with 121,657.

Poultry culling drive reports over five thousand hens handled
Grundy county records show during the final week of this year’s culling campaign the county agent reports to the University of Missouri that in eight weeks he has conducted over 50 demonstrations with an average of more than eleven attendees. More than 5800 hens have been handled in these demonstrations.
