Governor Joseph W Falk of Missouri issues a temperate Thanksgiving proclamation designating November 28 as a day of thanks across the Commonwealth. He urges citizens to honor duties, conscience, and religious tolerance, noting state progress and unity amid monetary strain.
In a Tuesday afternoon game at Liberty Wentworth cadets failed to prepare for William Jewel, who started fast with a rush and led 1st half points before Wentworth rallied. The second half favored the soldiers who gained the advantage, both sides scoring touchdowns as the ball neared William Jewel’s goal line before a training break ended the contest. One Jewel player was ruled out for slugging amid a new open play style unfamiliar to the cadets.
Joseph L Gilden of Kansas City marries Miss Nellie Blee in Taom Catholic church with only John Golden and Katie Blee as attendants. Father Corry leads Nuptial Mass. After a breakfast at the bride’s father home, the couple depart for Chicago for their honeymoon. The bride, daughter of Harry Blee, recently worked in the News office. groom, educated in Richmond, is employed by a railroad in Kansas City. They will live in Kansas City.
The wedding of John P. Deroy and Myrtle May took place at the Christian church parsonage with Rev F B Biiney officiating. The ceremony was simple with no attendants. The couple, son and bride describe Deroy as industrious and the bride as a young woman of strong character. They will stay for breakfast and plan to relocate to Lexington where Mr Deroy is temporarily employed.
Richard Field spent Wesnenday in Kapnas City. Mr and Mrs George Hawes returned to their home in Portland Oregon. Wesnenday after rink et a few days with the family of Fave Taubman.
Buckwheat, self rising flour, pancake mix and pure maple syrup appear in a local market list. Vendors include Alap and Cash Grocer, with names such as Jos and L. Lowy noted among the offerings. Market brief hints at New York buckwheat flour varieties and related pantry staples.
A couple from nearby farms wed at noon in a ceremony led by Rev English. The bride and groom, Martié and his partner, plan to take over his father's farm before moving to town. Friends saw them off at the station, but the couple instead traveled to Onega to catch a Kansas City train, then return home in a few days.

A starring actor Eugene Moore adapts the sensational zero decade tale The Hidden Hand into a melodramatic stage production. The new play debuts at the New Grand opera house in Lexington, Mo, on Saturday, Dec. 1th, promising a vivid American character study with suspense and humor.
Herman Jordan and his wife faced the loss of their two youngsters Hermand Jr aged three and Velma aged one who died Tuesday evening in Hoblock and 915 after a week of illness from measles developing pneumonia. The community extends sympathy to grieving parents overwhelmed by the double tragedy.

Leland, infant son of Ed Lierman, died Tuesday afternoon of pneumonia. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at unknown hour.
Emma Pawss died after an illness in the waning days. Roma, the three year old daughter of Jake Pawes, is reported to have been ill as well and attended burial rites. Mrs. J. C. Young Sr. and Miss Delia Crowder spent Thursday in Kansas City. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Tyree visited in Virginia ville Thursday evening for a few days. Mrs. L. H. Catron returned to Kansas City Thursday after a short visit with relatives.
Wentworth Military Academy of Iila place and Kemper Military School of Boonville meet in an annual prep school football showdown at Sedalia. Fans expect Wentworth to win despite Kemper’s coach Johnson plotting surprises as both teams press for the decisive victory. Warrensburg and Kansas City regions loom large in the build up.
Mr and Mrs J Houston traveled to Kansas City this morning for a short visit. Mire Frank Carter and her son Robert also left for Kansas City for a brief visit.
