One Casualty From Special Train Incident
A Sunday arrival of a special train ended with Henry Keller sustaining a head wound above the left eye when a crowd attraction bomb misfired into the crowd. The blast left a one inch gash and nearly cost Keller an eye if struck slightly differently. The train departed at 5 30 for Higginsville.

Man in Safe Keeping After Horse Theft Charge
Joe Curtis, who claimed his home, was brought to Lexington Saturday by Deputy Sheriff Fred Sickelman of Concordia and placed in the care of Uncle Joe. Curtis had been working for Mrs. Louise Bergland near Concordia. Thursday he rode one of her horses into Aullville and sold it. He was soon captured and is now in safe keeping. Death of H. F. Meinecke. H. F. Meinecke died at his home on 18th and Oneida Streets Saturday at 2:30. He was born March 12, 1855 in Concordia, Mo, and moved to Lexington about twenty-five years ago. He worked for Winktor Furniture Co. for many years. He is survived by his wife and five children Alfred, Oscar, Edgar, Mrs. Pool, and Mrs. Louis Schelp, all of Lexington, plus two sisters. The funeral was held Sunday at 3 PM.
