Deserter Arrested Here in Douglas Arizona
City Marshal C F Kinkead arrested Charles Wilson on February 12 1916 for desertion from the U S Army in Douglas Arizona. Kinkead identified him from War Department photos and descriptions after reviewing files. Policeman John Pollard escorted Wilson to Fort Leavenworth Friday morning.

Shoe Store Changes Hands in Lexington Deal
Richard Lewis of Moberly Missouri and W R Humphreys of Lexington bought the John M Poage Shoe Company stock. The deal closed Thursday with possession given to the new firm through M D Wilson. Poage has been bedbound with typhoid fever for ten days and made no future arrangements.
