Friends of Mr. Cowherd formed the Cowherd for Governor Club at a meeting in Chiles & Chiles law office. B. C. Drummond opened the session, with 8. N. Wilson elected president and A. W. Death of John Pierre Mavel in Lexington area
John Pierre Mavel, a respected citizen, died Friday night at his northeast Lexington home from typhoid fever at age about, survived by his wife and four children. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 from the home led by Rev. E. Boyd Whuiter, with interment under Redmen, K of P, and Miners' Union auspices.

Margaret Fishback Dies at 21 in Oak Grove
Margaret Ellen Fishback, daughter of Mr and Mrs B B Fishback, died June 14 at her Oak Grove home after seven years of illness. She was a Cumberland Presbyterian church member. Funeral services were held at the home by Rev A J Baker of Marsill, Mo, and she was buried in Pleasant Prairie cemetery.
