A son was born Sunday to the wife of Christian Tucker, a girl to Mrs Rodgera Wright in Independence. Wheat harvest began with good prospects. Lon Crews and family visited his father Jas A Crews. A large crowd attended the German church picnic Monday. Napoleon Telephone Company plans to extend service from Labor Exchange to Egypt Bottom. A son was born Monday to the wife of John Rive.

The note states letters were advertised when called for. The Right Rev Thomas Francis Lilly Bishop of Leavenworth Rap arrived Monday morning and administered the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with Fathers Gilly O Reilly and Long. Miss Myrtle Higgins of Platte City visiting Richard Hays returned home Tuesday.
