Bour secures church site at Eighteenth and Main for flats
Victor Bour has purchased the brick church at the southeast corner of Eighteenth and Main Streets to overhaul it into modern flats. The building, once erected by the Northern Presbyterians, later housed Wentworth Military Academy before becoming vacant and rented to colored families for church use. Bour aims to enhance the property’s appearance and value for neighbors.

Progressive Domino Party at Mrs Winn’s Forty Three Friends Attended
Mrs J F Winn entertained thirty six friends Tuesday afternoon for a progressive domino party. Miss May Peak won the first prize a celery dish. Consolation prizes went to Mesdames Burd Moorman Kinney and Ming with Mrs Kinney drawing a pretty pen and ink sketch by Virginia Wine. Refreshments followed and a novel game Telegraphs was played writing eleven words starting with a concept. Mrs Meng’s telegram won a tune from Mr and Mrs Karl Campbell and the prize was sent from Kansas City Saturday morning.
