Man Found In Box Car After 72 Hours Imprisonment
George Gibson, 25, was found January 2 in Aden New York inside a box car where he had been imprisoned for seventy two hours. He is son of Mrs. Alex Gibson of Richmond and nephew of John Gibson of the Richmond and Camden Coal Company. Gibson left Richmond a year ago to visit Scotland and his relatives only learned of his escape from death upon reading The Republic. Mayor Shoop has wired Utica’s mayor for details.

Cripple Creek District Gold Output Tops 19 Million in 1902

House panel blocks Hobson retirement bill

Horses Loose From Hitch Run Through City Streets
A team of Charles Mitchells horses escaped on Tenth Street Thursday night at about nine. They pulled an empty wagon along Franknio Street to the Fourteenth Street corner where they toppled a lamp post and broke it. One horse was thrown forward by the wagon, dragging part of the yoke, while the other horse stayed with the wagon and both animals then returned home.
