Judge Davis Stricken By Appendicitis
Judge Samuel Davis of Marshall was stricken with appendicitis last Monday morning while returning home by train from Macon Missouri, where he had been visiting his son George Davis. He was taken from the train at Moberly and removed to a hospital where he was operated on at once. He is reported to be improving nicely.

Brant Young aged eight and two years died Wednesday night at the County Farm from a sudden apoplexy. An old citizen of Lexington, he once worked as a steamboat era Missouri River warehouse clerk and later served for many years as janitor at the Taylor school in this city.
