Man Bleeds After Break-In at St Clair Residence
Tuesday at 2:30 am William Snyder of Twenty third street forced entry into the St Clair home at Main and College. He was found in the front hall with a deep cut behind the left ear and could not explain his presence. Dr Cope treated the wound before Officer Gaffin escorted him home. St Clair’s calm conduct noted amid the incident.

Mrs Martha A Young died Friday afternoon at 340 at her home 125 South street after a long illness of rheumatism. Born Richmond Kentucky November 7 1831 she was 78. Married Dr GW Young in April 1852. nine children born five survive. Funeral Sunday at 2 PM from the home conducted by Dr E Gordon with interment at Machpelah.

Machpelah’s Mortality Report for 1909 records 36 interments, 33 males and 29 females, including 24 infants. The oldest buried was a male at 91, oldest female 78. Fifteen bodies came from distance, fourteen from the county. Excess interments over 1908 show three deaths by accident. Average annual burials over six years: 91. Signed respectfully by Supt T. J.
