Linvas Mitchell son of Mr and Mrs W Z Mitchell of this city died in Kansas City General Hospital from spinal meningitis after a two week illness. Born in Lexington May 25 1884 he was 28. Educated at the High School and Wentworth Military Academy he had lived in Kansas City five years and worked for Yale Amusement Company. Survived by wife Marie Keach and two sisters and three brothers. Body brought to Lexington Thursday. funeral Saturday at 2 pm at parental home with Rev Boyd White officiating.

Trio Held After Joyride From Wentworth Student Case
Glenn Rigby, a Wentworth Military Academy alumnus, and two companions were held in the city by Marshal J. N. Price Wednesday night awaiting the elder Rigby’s arrival from Kansas City. They had seized the elder’s car at the Elks Club Rooms and driven off for a joy ride. The elder Rigby’s father stayed to secure the trio until his arrival.
