Coon Family Ardent Pioneer Dies in Rochester Hotel Era
Mr Coon born May 10 1833 in New York served in Civil War as Union soldier and aide to Gen Gilman of the 52nd Pennsylvania. He moved to Rochester after the war, ran the Commercial hotel, earning a first class name, and helped old Confederate soldiers. funeral at the Commercial hotel conducted by Rev R B Binney. He is survived by widow and two sons Carl and Claude. Died in this city February 1805, Elijah Morgan Coun.

Reverend Joseph W Warder longtime Baptist pastor in this community and former pastor of the church here from April 1856 to April 1866 died in Louisville on a Friday in early November He had resided in Louisville for about twenty years and was well known to local residents His successor Dr Riges coordinated with surviving ex pastors for a joint spring visit and celebration tied to the Southern Baptist convention in Kansas City Warder had planned to attend and would have been the oldest ex pastor.
